How has wakeboarding changed your life?
Wakeboarding has changed my life in so many ways. It has taught me to be grateful for what I am capable of doing, to appreciate all that is given to me, to have a positive outlook on life, and to not take things for granted. It has provided me with countless opportunities and memories that I will forever cherish. Wakeboarding has given me great friendships, strength, determination, and motivation to be the best I can be. It has ultimately made me who I am today.
Who influences you the most?
My main influence would have to be God. If it wasn’t for him, I would not be able to do what I do today. I’m thankful to have him in my life, to inspire me to be the best I can be. My parents also inspire me to reach for the stars and to never give up.
What is your favorite part of being a professional wakeboarder?
Being able to inspire others with whatever that may be. I love teaching and sharing the joy wakeboarding has to offer.
What does the “job” part of being a professional wakeboarder consist of?
I wouldn’t consider wakeboarding a “job” because it’s something I enjoy doing. The work part of wakeboarding includes keeping in shape, helping and inspiring others in the sport, and helping out with your sponsors.
If you weren’t wakeboarding for a job, what do you think you would be doing?
I would have a business degree with an emphasis in psychology. From there I would try to work in the wakeboard industry for a while and then later become a psychologist.
Where do you think wakeboarding is going to go from where it is now?
I think wakeboarding is going to revolve more around cable riding. I think many more cable parks are going to start popping up throughout the U.S. and we are going to see more cable competitions.
